Catch stunning views from Trsat Castle. Located on a hill above Rijeka, it was once used as a fortress in the 1200s but has since been rebuilt and renovated by the Frankopan dukes of Krk and most recently in 1824 by a commander in the Austrian army. It’s the perfect example of how the influences of many different nations shaped this port city over the centuries. -
