Savor a variety of grilled Argentine dishes during a progressive meal at three parrillas, followed by one final course, dessert at a nearby ice cream shop.
After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at the first parrilla, which refers to an Argentine restaurant that specializes in dishes cooked over hot-coal grills. Parrillas are exceptionally popular dining venues among the local porteños and visitors, as well.
However, porteños have invaluable insiders’ knowledge and typically dine in the more authentic, out-of-the-way parrillas that aren’t listed in travel guides or often found through Internet searches. These special dining venues revered by locals are the ones that you will visit on this culinary outing.
The menu will depend on which parrillas are chosen, which seasonal ingredients are freshest, and the chefs’ flair for presenting dishes rarely found elsewhere. You can expect to enjoy a starter at the first parrilla, an entrée at the second, and the main course at the third venue.
The courses may include grass-fed Argentine beef, spiced sausages and fresh vegetables, all cooked perfectly over the grill. As an accompaniment, you will have a choice of local Argentine wines.
Be sure to leave room for a refreshing dessert, as your last stop will be at an artisanal “heladeria” (ice cream shop). Try your favorite flavor or an ice cream made with local ingredients such as dulce de leche or sabayón. Afterwards, you will return to the pier.
