OVERVIEW

Visit the Belikin Brewery and sample a flight of its beers made with premium ingredients that reflect the character of Belize. Although a German brew master oversaw the production for the first 40 years, a Belizean is now at the helm and he has considerably expanded the brand. While touring the brewery, you will hear about the origin of its name – which is from the Mayan language – discover why Queen Elizabeth II knighted one of its founders and see how Belikin beers are produced step by step. Some of the original equipment is on display, and you will learn how the updated equipment enhanced the quality of the beers. A tasting will confirm why Belikin beers are so popular. You might sample the flagship European-style lager, a chocolate stout, and a black and tan, which is a blend of the two. A traditional Belizean lunch of stewed chicken with rice and beans follows.
