Charming Portuguese Towns Of Morocco

The charm of the Portuguese towns of El Jadida and Azemmour comes from their medinas .Their narrow streets, beautiful buildings and gates combine a mixture of Portuguese, Arab, Andalusian and Berber architectural styles. Stop at the entrance of Azemmour for a panoramic view of this white-washed town on the banks of the Oum Rabiaa River. Drive to one of the town's main gates Sidi Makhfi, named after a sophism figure. Walk through the Kasbah to reach a large square overlooking the river. Board your coach for the drive to El Jadida and enjoy your Moroccan-style lunch. Walk through the Medina and stop for a panoramic view of the port and the Atlantic Ocean. On your return to Casablanca, stop at the Hassan II Mosque for photos. There will be a last stop in Casablanca for photos opportunities or optional shopping.


Need to Know:

Note: This tour involves walking for approximately one mile on mostly uneven ground. The Ancient Medina of Azemmour and the Portuguese Cistern in El Jadida are not wheelchair accessible.
