Settle in for a spectacularly scenic drive into Tuscany and enjoy its extraordinary wines and cheeses. The farther inland you travel, the more rural the landscape. Upon reaching Val d’Orica – a UNESCO World Heritage site for its Renaissance character – you will stop at the Ciacci Piccolomini winery in Montalcino. This medieval town is revered for its Brunello di Montalcino, a ruby-red wine that can only be produced from Sangiovese grapes in a very specific part of Southern Tuscany. A tasting will reveal the attributes of this beloved high-tannin wine with an exceptionally bold fruit flavor. You will also have the chance to explore the medieval village of San Quirico d’Orcia before continuing on to Pienza to sample its legendary Pecorino cheese, which has been produced the same way for thousands of years. The setting will be as memorable as the tasting as UNESCO declared Pienza a World Heritage site for its innovative Renaissance town planning.

Guides are prohibited from assisting with wheelchairs. Guests who require special assistance must be accompanied by a companion who is physically capable. Lunch and snacks are excluded.
