OVERVIEW

Familiarize yourself with the gorgeous biodiversity of the Cape Peninsula, which contains a UNESCO World Heritage natural site, on this entrancing tour. Start with a lovely drive through Cape Town’s seaside suburbs to Camps Bay, nestled beneath the impressive peaks of the Twelve Apostles. Continue along the Atlantic seaboard toward Hout Bay, a small fishing village, then pass Chapman’s Peak and the coastal suburb of Scarborough en route to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, part of the Cape Floral Region Protected Areas, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll ride a funicular to the top of Cape Point for incredible views of dramatic sea cliffs and nearly 20,000 pristine acres teeming with indigenous flora and fauna. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, you’ll pause at an African penguin colony, glimpse the colorful fishing harbor of Kalk Bay and enjoy sublime vistas of Muizenberg and False Bay from Boyes Drive. Glory in the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, 1,384 acres spread on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain that are part of the UNESCO site. You’ll stroll among thousands of species of local plants before ending your remarkable outing with a pleasant drive past some of Cape Town’s most alluring landmarks.

Need to Know:

Note: This tour includes over 3-hours of walking/standing on paved surfaces, wooden walkways and some uneven ground. Although tour is not suitable for guests with mobility concerns, it is available to wheelchair guests who have a collapsible chair, are able to make their own way on and off the transportation and have an able-bodied companion to assist them. The road along Chapman’s Peak Drive is extremely steep, narrow and winding. Should Chapman’s Peak be closed, the tour will travel via Constantia Nek and Ou Kaapse Weg. Tour is not recommended for guests with a fear or heights or who suffer from vertigo. Wear casual, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.
