Start this magnificent scenic drive to Cartagena’s treasures at the Pier aboard one of our coach or open top buses that will take you directly to Cartagena’s historic center. Here, your Hop-On Hop-Off tour will begin. Admire this legendary city with more than 450 years of history-Cartagena de Indias. This tour narrates the historical secrets guarded by the city walls, buildings and narrow cobbled streets. You will have the flexibility to plan your time in Cartagena for shopping, sightseeing or just exploring this city at your own pace by hopping- on and off where you wish. Enjoy the panoramic views of the Clock Tower that serves as the main entrance to the city, the San Felipe Castle, a fortress built in 1536 and other iconic places enriched with history, from your open top double or single decker bus. Stops include Casa de Rafael Nunez, the walls to enter the old town and the commercial area of San Martin Avenue among others. In addition, you will have the opportunity to experience the city on an included walking tour. See the Plaza de San Pedro Claver, Santa Catalina de Alejandria Cathedral, Santo Domingo Square, the Bastions of the Wall among other iconic places. Also, enjoy an Emerald Experience and discover the Emerald history in Colombia and learn why they are considered the best in the whole world. At the appropriate time, take your shuttle from the Old Town back to the cruise terminal parking lot.

Need to Know:

Note: Guests can expect long lines and wait times between buses. Walking is optional at guest’s discretion and there is only one chance to take the walking tour. It is recommended that you wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Pedestrian sidewalks inside the Walled City are narrow, so this tour is not recommended for guests on wheelchair, scooters or any walking limitations. Inclined steps to reach the double decker bus upper level. Entrance fees are not included in the tour price. The bus is not equipped with A/C. The duration will vary based upon the guests’ choice of stops and time spent at each. The entire bus loop without stops is approximately 1 1/2 hours. Tour sequence may vary to avoid overcrowding. Subject to changes due to weather conditions or availability. Passengers opting for the optional walking tour should ensure they are well-hydrated and prepared to avoid heat exhaustion, The bus will drop off passengers at the port's parking lot, Guests need to get back to the ship by walking (570 mts approx.)
