OVERVIEW
Revel in the serenity and bio-diversity of the Saiadi Botanical Garden, a wonderland of endemic and exotic plants and animals. On the way there, you will pause at Miramar lookout, an elevated vantage point that will present a sweeping view of the natural beauty that surrounds Fort Dauphin. Nature will be in all its glory in the botanical garden, as a bounty of tropical plants flourishes there. While strolling the circuitous paths, you may see massive elephants ears, thick stands of bamboo, bright splashes of orchids and spiny pachypodiums, a succulent native to the African continent. Madagascar is the only place in the world where lemurs live in the wild and you will likely spot them in the trees and bounding across the grounds. While ring-tailed lemurs are prominent, other species such as long-fingered aye-ayes and black-and-white indris may also be present. Later, at Filaos Beach, you will see the cultural side of Madagascar by watching a folk performance.
