OVERVIEW
Behold the natural beauty within sprawling Seogwipo and experience one of its most vibrant markets, an experience sure to leave you with an understanding of the city’s diversity. You will likely hear the roar of Cheonjiyeon Falls before seeing the cascade, which plummets straight down from a sheer rock cliff. From the viewing platform, the water appears to fall from the heavens, which is appropriate since Cheonjiyeon translates to “sky connected to land.” Similarly, the uninhabited island of Saeseom was named for its dominant natural feature – the silvergrass that flourishes there. To reach this park-like oasis, you will walk across Jeju Island’s longest pedestrian bridge, which will offer spectacular views of the sea and the nearby marina for fishing boats. As a contrast to this tranquil scene, you will browse Seogwipo Maeil Olle, the island’s largest market. Its more than two hundred stalls are laden with most everything imaginable although Korean street food is the specialty.
