Gain an overview of the various facets of Ibiza on this tour that travels to the southern area of the island and highlights both the trendy and the simplistic, unspoiled beauty of this popular destination.
Leaving the pier, you will head for San Jose, passing Ses Salines, an interesting area consisting of salt pits along the way. The salt industry was one of the first on the island and depending on the season, Ses Salines is also a great place for bird watching, especially Flamingos. From here, you will next pass by Sa Caleta, an area that offers up wonderful panoramic views.
The town of San Jose is located high in the hills and is the largest municipality on the island. Far from the hustle and bustle of Ibiza's resort areas, the town embraces a more tranquil ambience and offers visitors a peaceful respite. Still, the town has wonderful eateries, shops and a memorable 14th century Parish church. There will be free time here to explore on your own or simply find a shady spot to sit and relax, appreciating the un-hurried charm of this village.
Your tour next travels to San Antonio, once a small fishing village, today it is a vibrant resort area with a wealth of hotels, restaurants and clubs. The city is dominated by the beautiful palm-lined promenade which skirts the harbor, constantly busy with yachts, speedboats and ferryboats. The harbor, called Portus Magnus by the Romans, is one of the most beautiful and famous natural harbors in Europe. Your time in San Antonio is at your leisure and you will no doubt want to stroll around the Paseo of San Antonio, with its cascading water fountains or perhaps relax and enjoy a glass of the local Sangria.
After approximately 1-hour in San Antonio, it's time to re-board your coach and travel back to the pier where your tour concludes.
