Ride a motorized tuk-tuk around a spectacularly scenic peninsula that juts into the Bay of Kotor, stopping at the most dramatic points for photos and exploration on your own.
After departing from the pier, you will follow a coastal road along the gorgeous Bay of Kotor, first passing through the fishing village of Muo. You will travel by tuk-tuk, an open-air covered vehicle originally named for the sound of its engine. Modern engines are noticeably quieter, and the tuk-tuk is now one of the most desirable ways to get around.
Upon arriving in Prcanj, you will pause for photos of Our Lady’s Temple. Built in the Baroque style over the course of 120 years, the church finally opened in 1909. The lengthy construction was worth the wait. Corinthian and Doric columns adorn the façade, the entry features a glorious double staircase, and the two gilded altars are considered masterworks.
Continuing on to an elevated vantage point overlooking the Verige Strait, you will pause again for photos. The church that will be visible on the teeny island in the strait is Our Lady of the Rocks, which dates to 1722. It’s now used primarily as a Catholic cultural center.
Your next stop will be Porto Montenegro, one of the most luxurious marinas on the Adriatic Sea. During leisure time, you might admire the super-yachts or browse the high-end shops. Then, it’s back to Kotor with a stop at Mount Vrmac to take in the magnificent view.
