OVERVIEW
View the coastal beauty and rural charm of Montenegro from several characteristic locales, beginning with a cable car ride to the summit of Kuk Hill. During the ascent, you will gaze out over Kotor, its namesake bay and the surrounding mountains. The terrain is so striking that when playwright George Bernard Shaw visited, he famously quipped from the top of nearby Mount Lovćen, “Am I in paradise or on the moon?” The vistas will be just as memorable as you drive through Lovćen National Park to Cetinje, once the royal capital of Montenegro. Founded in the 15th century, it is a lovely setting for your lunch as it lies in a green bowl at the foot of Mount Lovćen. You will next stop in Budva, a medieval port that inspired English poet Lord Bryon. He described it as “the most beautiful meeting of land and sea” and as you will discover it still is.
