OVERVIEW

Enjoy the unique combination of viticulture and weaving at Sacromonte, a boutique eco-friendly hotel and winery set amid the rolling hills and farmlands of eastern Uruguay. Following an overview of the estate and the vineyards – the highest in Uruguay – the sommelier will present you with a tasting of four distinct Sacromonte craft wines. They will likely be the vibrant Orange Rosé, complex Seis Cepas, robust Tannat and the flagship Carapé, a red blend that won a gold medal in its debut competition. Each of these wines will be paired with carefully selected tapas designed to complement and enhance their unique profiles. They all reflect the microclimate of the surroundings sierras. To enhance the experience, you will watch a weaving demonstration and then create your own textiles on a type of loom used in the Peruvian Andes. A local artisan will lead the hands-on workshop during which you will create your own woven memento.
