Armed with a complimentary city map, those familiar with Stockholm may opt to spend a full day on their own to sightsee, shop, dine or simply soak up the atmosphere of Stockholm. You’ll have an escort at the pier to answer questions and also at the meeting point for your return. Drive the roadway to Stockholm, where you disembark at a drop-off point close to the major landmarks. Spend the day as you like; lunch is on your own. Main sights to see are the Vasa Museum, the City Hall, the Royal Palace and also the Old town where you can find a lot of shops, souvenirs, and crystal. Downtown you will find big department stores like NK and Ahlens which are open every day.

Note: The excursion is non-guided and does not include entrance fees. City maps are provided for your convenience. Local currency (Swedish crowns) are required for lunch and entrance fees. Please be on time for your departure time for the return back to the ship in Nynashamn or it will be your responsibility to return on your own. The drive to Stockholm takes approximately one hour each way.
