Experience the great outdoors that surrounds Sete Cidades in whatever way you find most appealing from a choice of adventurous activities. The drive to this amazing area in the island’s western interior will set the stage for the natural beauty that lies ahead as you will travel through mountainous forested reserves that are largely undeveloped. The fairytale landscape of Sete Cidades is even more dramatic as two crater lakes dominate it. According to legend, the different colors of the lakes – one blue, the other green – were the result of tears from a blue-eyed shepherd and a green-eyed princess who shared a forbidden love. In this enchanting setting, you will participate in two out of three available activities. You will have the opportunity to bicycle around the twin lakes, kayak across their glass-smooth, cold waters, or hike into the wilds on a trekking adventure. The choice is entirely yours.

Note: The tour is not recommended for guests who utilize a wheelchair, scooter, or who have any walking limitations. Those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina. The order of sites visited may vary. Wear comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and comfortable clothing. Guests who miss the return transportation will be responsible for getting back to the ship. The tour is sensitive to weather conditions (rain, wind, and sun). Entrance fees are not included, unless stated. Depending on the season of your visit, the lake's water may be cold. We recommend wearing appropriate attire for your comfort. There is a limited number of bikes and kayaks, and their use will be on a turn-by-turn basis. Please note that you may share this experience with individuals outside your family group, as each kayak accommodates up to 2 people. Seating arrangements will be made according to availability. As the tour will take place in a rural area, it is possible that you may encounter mud, dust, water, and other similar conditions. It is recommended that you bring sunglasses and sunscreen for protection. Please also ensure that your personal belongings are secured. Experience not suitable for pregnant women
