The tour starts with a 15 minute boat ride to the underwater park. Once onboard the Sea Trek platform your guide will give you a safety briefing and answer any of your questions. The underwater trek itself takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete, based upon the number of guests. Each tour will have 10 guests maximum and will have a minimum of 3 Sea Trek guides. While one group is underwater the other guests can snorkel while they wait.
Climb down a ladder from the Sea Trek dock that reaches 20 feet down. The track takes you past both natural and artificial reefs such as a sail boat, a submarine, an airplane, a helicopter, King Neptune and 2 canons salvaged from Fort Amsterdam. Once back to the beginning of the track loop you’ll climb the ladder back onto the dock while personally guided both up and down the ladder by a guide or safety diver.
Need to Know:
Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age and weigh between 80 and 300 lbs. Must be able to walk and climb a ladder, be in good physical condition and sign a waiver. This tour is not recommended for guests with physical disabilities, pacemaker, epilepsy, severe asthma or who are claustrophobic. Pregnant women over 3 months are not allowed to participate. Activities may be reversed to avoid congestion at the dive site. Maximum depth is 20 feet. There are tee shirts, sodas and bottled water available for purchase after the tour on a cash only basis. Due to restrictions by the Dive Provider, any scuba participants currently taking any medication or with a previous medical condition should bring a note from their primary physician stating that they are medically cleared to participate on a scuba excursion. A USB stick of images taken during your trek can be purchased for an additional cost of $40 - cash only. Images can be viewed before purchase.
