OVERVIEW
Sample a variety of Argentine foods and wine at several venues known for their locally sourced products. You will first visit a processing center where various Argentine teas are blended and packaged for sale. After an eye-opening tour, you will sample a cup of tea thoughtfully paired with local snacks. You will also be treated to a tasting at Chacra B&G, an agricultural enterprise that grows fruits, vegetables and nuts, especially almonds. A tour of the property will provide great insight into the types of ingredients found in the local cuisine. Nearby Finca Caballo Blanco winery is known for its natural, dry-farming techniques that enhance the terroir and intensity of the grapes. The winery mostly produces Malbecs and Pinot Noirs, which you will likely sample. The former tends to be exceptionally fruit-forward with nuanced flavors of chocolate. You may also be offered a selection of olive oils produced on the estate.
