Embrace the exquisite beauty of the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve during a scenic and memorable nature walk inside this World Heritage Site.
Depart the pier for the drive to the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve. Upon arrival, you will commence your guided walking tour. Along the way, you will see tropical vegetation and many species of rare, endemic palms that include the unique double coconut, or coco de mer, which bears the largest nut in the plant kingdom. This idyllic paradise is also home to the rare black parrot, which feeds on the reserve's abundant fruit.
Following your nature walk, a refreshing beverage will be served before re-boarding your bus for the return drive to the pier.

NOTES: The Vallee de Mai visit involves approximately 1.5 hours of walking, mainly over uneven ground and exposed roots. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility or guests who utilize a wheelchair. Wear lightweight, comfortable clothing and closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses from the ship.
