OVERVIEW

Take the roads less traveled in a 4x4 Land Rover made for adventure and see a side of Rhodes that few people other than locals know. Your guide will be a National Geographic contributor that lives on the island and will show it to you from an insider’s point of view. While traveling through the interior, you will pass small remote villages before heading off road to Ranger Hut View, a lookout that offers a stunning panorama of the island’s natural beauty. The guide will describe the native flora, which ranges from conifers to the flowering cyclamen plants that grow beneath them. The winding route will also take you through other rustic areas, past natural springs and on to Saint Nickolas Foundoukli, a petite 15th-century church nestled among fig and olive trees. While stopping at a family-owned taverna, you can converse with the villagers while enjoying a platter of Greek mezedes.
