Copacabana Beach Transfer

Depart from the pier and enjoy a scenic drive to the neighborhood of Copacabana, an area separated from the rest of Rio de Janeiro until a tunnel was built to connect them in 1892. Over the years, Copacabana rapidly grew around luxurious landmarks such as the famed Copacabana Palace, which is now considered a national monument. Later, the waterfront thoroughfare Avenue Atlantica was expanded, and a nearly 3-mile-long mosaic walkway was built along the beach in a black-and-white wave motif.

Even so, as you will discover, it is the beach at Copacabana that captures the most attention. After arriving at this lengthy crescent-shaped stretch of sand, you will have approximately three full hours to enjoy its charms. You can expect the beach to be bustling, and that is much of the appeal, as you will experience a true slice of Carioca life. There may be children playing soccer, retirees lounging under umbrellas, families frolicking in the surf, and people of all ages walking up and down the shoreline for miles.

You are free to enjoy Copacabana beach and the neighboring area however you please. You might sunbathe, take a refreshing swim or cross the Avenue Atlantica and browse the shops and restaurants that overlook the beach. At the designated time your return transfer will pick you up at the Copacabana Palace Hotel and bring you back to the pier.
