OVERVIEW

See the natural beauty that abounds in the island’s more remote regions by riding an ATV through a tropical rainforest and by cruising along the mangrove-lined shores of southern Roatan. The adventure will begins at Big Bight where you will hop on an ATV and race off caravan-style, following the guide into the surrounding wilderness. If it has been raining recently, the natural trails will have potholes and mud will be flying, which will make the driving even more fun. After a brief stop, you will transfer to the marina and sail through the mangrove forests line the banks most everywhere. Besides being environmentally beneficial, mangroves provide shelter for a myriad of animals, especially water birds such as green herons and roseate spoonbills.

HELPFUL HINTS

• Dress in weather-appropriate clothing.
• Wear closed-toe shoes with a good grip, avoid sandals.
• Wear comfy clothes that can get dirty. opt for long pants to shield legs from the ATV's heat and debris.

Need to Know:

Note: Participants must be at least 18 years of age and max age is 75 years old. Must weigh no more than 300 lbs. Active participation from guests is required. Tour sequence may vary. Guests may get dirty (muddy or dusty) during the tour. Guests in wheelchairs and others with limited mobility should not select this tour. ATVs are self-driven and require driving ability. ATV operation is an inherently dangerous activity, they can achieve high speeds and can suddenly and rapidly accelerate, turn, overturn, and/or lose control, depending upon the operation, the terrain, and/or weather conditions. Guests participating in these activities do so at their own risk. The nature of this tour includes inherent risks for its participants. All guests must understand and acknowledge that this activity bears certain known and unanticipated risks that could result in serious bodily injury. Make certain you are aware of these risks before purchasing. Tour sequence may vary due to operational reasons. Tour sensitive to weather conditions. It is necessary to show a driver’s license. It is preferable to have one person per ATV, but it can be used by 2 people. Guest must sign a waiver to participate.
