OVERVIEW
Enjoy unobstructed views of the countless animals in the Arabian Wildlife Park from an open-top truck with 21 seats. There will be plenty to see as the truck slowly drives through the park, which is so large it takes up about half the island of Sir Bani Yas. More than 10,000 animals freely roam the landscape, and it is likely that you will observe an enormous variety of them. The sanctuary started decades ago with a breeding program for endangered Arabian oryx, and it is now home to the world’s largest herd of these antelopes, which were formerly endangered. Other animals that you might expect to see on a safari also live there, including giraffes, gazelles, cheetahs and hyenas. Birds are just as plentiful, so be sure to look for ostriches and smaller species happily chirping in the brush. The park has expanded its breeding program and added animal rehabilitation, which keeps the population thriving.
