OVERVIEW

Pedal a bicycle around naturally beautiful Sir Bani Yas Island, nearly half of which is dedicated to the Arabian Wildlife Park, home to thousands of free-roaming animals. The former retreat of a founding father of the United Arab Emirates, Sir Bani Yas is a nature lover’s paradise, especially when seen on a bicycle that allows you to easily pause and view the flora and fauna up-close. As you pedal along the winding off-road trails on this largest of the eight islands just offshore, you will enjoy panoramic views that may include a forested coastline, a vast savanna and dry lunar-like hills. You may spot exotic trees such as the umbrella thorn acacia, whose pods are readily eaten by antelopes and other animals. You might encounter giraffes grazing on tree leaves, mountain gazelles and one of the world’s largest herds of Arabian oryx. The sights depend on the route that the guide follows.
