Drive a Jeep through downtown Nassau and its suburbs, taking in attractions such as the caves where the indigenous Lucayans once lived and then pausing to relax at the beach..

After a short walk from the pier, you will hop into a Jeep Wrangler and hit the open road. There is plenty to see during your time behind the wheel, starting with downtown Nassau, the capital, largest city and cultural hub of the Bahamas..

You will drive through the colorful shopping district on Bay Street and see highlights such as palm-dotted Rawson Square, lovely government buildings such as the Supreme Court and the pink-hued House of Assembly. You will then head west past lovely Cable Beach and on towards the Nassau Caves for a photo stop..

The Lucayans, the original residents of the Bahamas once lived in these caverns. Settlers later used the caves for religious services and the guano inside to fertilize their crops..

You will drive along JFK Drive, which recognizes President John F. Kennedy’s 1962 meeting in Nassau to discuss Polaris, the United Kingdom’s submarine-based nuclear-weapons program. The fabulous and sprawling Baha Mar resort is another Bahamian landmark that you will pass. .

Free time on one of Nassau’s most inviting beaches follows, during which you might stroll along the shore, bask in the sun or simply admire the natural beauty and serenity of the sea. Then after a bountiful lunch at the Bahamian Grill, you will return to the pier..

OVERVIEW

Meet your guide at the cruise terminal and be escorted to your private and luxuriously appointed yacht along with your professionally trained crew. Cruise to Athol Island off the eastern tip of Nassau to swim and play with the resident pigs, swim in the shallow waters, and thoroughly relax on the beach. Upon arriving at Athol Island, a passel of friendly pigs will greet you. These domesticated pigs have been pampered since they were babies and love attention, so be ready for a fun, up-close and personal experience. The guide will show you how to feed the pigs and the best ways to interact with them while swimming. Afterwards, you will head to a private beach to enjoy the idyllic setting as you please. Your boat will then take you to snorkel on a coral reef teeming with colorful marine life, and to the long, narrow, pristine island known as Rose Island. Rose Island is almost completely undeveloped so it will be easy to find a quiet spot to relax. Feel free to take a refreshing swim in the sea, beach-comb and enjoy light snacks and drinks which are provided. The remaining time will be spent relaxing on a spectacular beach on Rose Island, the long slender oasis that lies due east. Cruise to Blue Lagoon Island on a sleek double-decker ferry for an up-close encounter with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins at an American Humane-certified facility. Upon arriving at the island, which is also known as Salt Cay, you will first learn about the characteristics and behavior of dolphins, such as how they communicate and use echolocation to hunt prey. Once in the water, you will stand on a waist-deep submerged platform that allows easy access to these highly intelligent marine mammals. A trainer will be on hand to recommend the best ways to interact with and touch the dolphins. You can expect an unforgettable experience as dolphins are naturally curious and social. During the two hours or so of beach time that follows, you might settle into a lounge chair and bask in the sun, take a refreshing swim, and snorkel in the turquoise sea. There are also shops in the Bahamian village nearby.

OVERVIEW

Cruise through Nassau Harbour and the surrounding islands in the evening sunset hours on a private yacht while drinking champagne and savoring a selection of gourmet offerings. The yacht will be waiting right at the cruise terminal, so you won’t have to go far to start enjoying the luxuries aboard this 40-foot vessel. Tear through the wilds of Gatorland adventure park in an off-road monster vehicle that will bring you goose-bump close to throngs of massive American alligators. The thrills will begin as soon as you board the open-air big-tire vehicle and race off into areas of Florida scrubland that few people see otherwise. You will follow a dirt path over rolling hills, through deep mud, past an alligator graveyard, and on to a pond absolutely crawling with alligators. The vehicles are named after legendary crocodilians that once roamed Gatorland, such as Bonecrusher, a 15-foot-long alligator that tipped the scales at more than 1,000 pounds. You will also be free to explore other sections of the park, where you can observe baby alligators, albino alligators, and leucistic alligators, which are only partially white. All sorts of other animals are also on display in areas that resemble their natural habitats, including American crocodiles, Florida panthers, Amazon parrots, and Aldabra Giant Tortoises.

Where else in the world can you tour the launch areas of a working space flight facility, have the opportunity to meet a real astronaut and stand inches away from the largest rocket ever built? Only at Kennedy Space Center! Located just minutes from Port Canaveral on Florida's Space Coast, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at one of mankind's most fascinating and remarkable achievements - the space program where history was, and still is, made every day. On your tour into KSC, you'll have the chance to see the Apollo/Saturn V Center which offers an inspirational and exhilarating look into mankind's quest for the moon.

There's a lot of activities offered at the Apollo/Saturn V Center, including reliving the historic launch of Apollo 8 at the Firing Room Theater; also, being able to marvel at a monstrous 363-foot Saturn V moon rocket. Depart the Port of Miami by air-conditioned coach with a knowledgeable guide and drive for approximately one hour to enter Everglades National Park. This world renowned eco-system covers about 5,000 square miles and is home to most of Florida's alligators, snakes, black bear, wild pigs, over two hundred species of birds including herons, egrets, white ibis, anhingas, roseate spoonbills, wood storks, ospreys, hawks, vultures, eagles and more, plus the endangered and nocturnal Florida Panther - less than 100 remaining in the wild.

Board your airboat for a thirty minute exhilarating ride over this 'river of grass' and hopefully come face to face with a number of these different creatures. Enjoy the Alligator Show and take home a complimentary photo next to a baby alligator. Afterwards enjoy the various crocodilian exhibits, visit the souvenir shop or perhaps try out the alligator nuggets in the snack bar. Simply breathe through the long hose and regulator that connects it to you. Swimming with the island’s population of pigs will be an equally unusual water activity. These domesticated pigs will come to you, looking to be petted and fed as you wade out into the waist-deep water. It will be a wildly entertaining experience that will give you plenty to talk about over snacks and while relaxing on the island’s beach. Nothing quite compares to swimming with the green sea turtles that come in great numbers to Green Cay. You will observe them gracefully paddling by and grazing on beds of sea grass and algae. A short ferry ride across the harbor will bring you to the slender, meticulously maintained private island, where you will enjoy about four hours of free time to do as you please. You might start by climbing the lighthouse for the ultimate view of the island and the azure seas that surround it. Not far away, you will find two beaches that are ideal for basking in the sun and swimming just off shore. If you’d prefer to stretch out on a lounge chair, you are welcome to settle into one beneath a towering palm. Later in the day, you can indulge in an authentic Bahamian lunch that includes barbecued chicken, fish fingers and local side dishes such as pigeon peas and rice. Then round out your day by kayaking or heading to sea on a stand-up paddleboard.
