OVERVIEW
Observe the wonders underwater through the transparent bottom of your kayak while paddling through the sheltered waters off Ely’s Harbour in the West End. After a brief orientation to ensure that you maximize the experience, you will ease into a two-person kayak and paddle off into the harbor’s typically calm and clear waters. You will glide past shores lined with environmentally friendly mangroves, pause to admire the dramatically eroded cliff known Cathedral Rock and gaze out over Wreck Hill, where the Sea Venture supposedly wrecked in 1609 stranding its English crew and passengers. You may also paddle around the beach-rimmed islands that dot the natural harbor and stop to swim. Even so, the most unusual part of this adventure is watching the marine life through the kayak’s clear bottom. You may see brightly colored blue angelfish, striped sergeant majors, princess parrotfish and spotted eagle rays, all of which are native to Bermuda.

Departing from the ship pier, enjoy the high-speed tender service across the mouth of the Great Sound before arriving thought the narrow ‘Town Cut’ into St. George’s, settled in 1612. UNESCO has designated St. George’s a World Heritage site as it is an authentic example of an English colonial town in the New World.
After an orientation, instructions and observed test ride by your guide, you will be ready for your electric-enhanced bicycle riding experience. You’ll find the extra boost in your pedal power offered from the bikes allows for an effortless ride over hilly terrain and across bridges to pristine Cooper’s Island Nature Reserve. Once occupied by the U.S. military and later used as a NASA space tracking station, this serene 12-acre reserve is now protected public land that is extraordinarily beautiful.
Before long, you will reach Clearwater Beach, where you will have time to enjoy the lovely coastal setting however you please. You might take a refreshing swim in the shallow waters, stretch out on the sand and enjoy the serenity, and walk to the nearby salt marsh to observe the wildlife. Herons, egrets and kingfishers are abundant, before the return ride back to the St. George’s to meet your return tender back to the ship. OVERVIEW
Zip through the streets and back alleys of historical St. George on an electric trike for an effortless exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage site town. After a briefing on how to operate the trike and a trial run, you will be ready to take off on a one-of-a-kind journey through downtown. Pedaling or balancing isn’t required like on a conventional bike so you can concentrate on the sights along the way. The exact route will depend on the conditions and traffic, but you can expect to see many of the most historical landmarks. They include where the rum runners operated during Prohibition, the Unfinished Church – which was started in 1874 and is still only partially built – and the site of Joseph Rainey’s barbershop before he returned to America to become the first African-American to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. The guide will describe the importance of each attraction during the 3-mile ride.

After a short shuttle to the beach site and after receiving some safety instructions, you’ll board your stable sit-on-top double kayaks for a fully-guided and narrated shoreline tour. Your guide will pick the best location and tour route where you’ll enjoy views of rocky coastlines, uninhabited islands and beaches. Along the way your guide will point out coastline creatures such as Bermuda long tails, egrets, herons, and various crustaceans. Following your kayak tour you’ll have the opportunity to swim and relax at the beach before your return transportation.

Step aboard a comfortable and stable catamaran for a trip to the northernmost coral reef in the world. Relax on deck while the crew provides informative commentary on the island and the fascinating undersea ecosystem. After a leisurely cruise, you'll find yourself moored in a magical deep blue oasis, bordered by fringe reef on nearly all sides. Here, you'll be given a mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy vest and instruction on how you may best enjoy this undersea paradise. Immerse yourself in crystal clear waters under the watchful eye of your instructors and explore the great expanses of pristine reef. After snorkeling, the sails will be hoisted (weather permitting) and you can enjoy a relaxing sail back with a complimentary Rum Swizzle. A cash bar is also available.

Tear through the wilds of Gatorland adventure park in an off-road monster vehicle that will bring you goose-bump close to throngs of massive American alligators. The thrills will begin as soon as you board the open-air big-tire vehicle and race off into areas of Florida scrubland that few people see otherwise. You will follow a dirt path over rolling hills, through deep mud, past an alligator graveyard, and on to a pond absolutely crawling with alligators. The vehicles are named after legendary crocodilians that once roamed Gatorland, such as Bonecrusher, a 15-foot-long alligator that tipped the scales at more than 1,000 pounds. You will also be free to explore other sections of the park, where you can observe baby alligators, albino alligators, and leucistic alligators, which are only partially white. All sorts of other animals are also on display in areas that resemble their natural habitats, including American crocodiles, Florida panthers, Amazon parrots, and Aldabra Giant Tortoises.

Stroll through the enchanting streets of St. George – the oldest English settlement in the New World – and stop for cocktails at some of its most historical landmarks. You will walk among 17th- and 18th-century buildings that are so architecturally important that UNESCO named St. George a World Heritage site. The first stop will be Stewart Hall, an atmospheric stone cottage that has been repurposed as a perfumery. As you hear about the history of the building, a mixologist will make you a cocktail using local ingredients that include Goslings spirits, which have been produced in Bermuda since 1806. Similarly, at the Mitchell House Museum, you will enjoy a classic Bermudian cocktail while browsing its exhibits. The Globe Hotel occupies an even older building as you will discover while touring its garden, again with a cocktail in hand. You will toast the island’s history once more with a glass of prosecco at the gift shop Long Story Short.

Maximize your time in Bermuda on this great combination tour! First, enjoy sightseeing the rural west end of the island during your short shuttle ride to Somerset Island. Here you'll be provided a Trek Mountain Bike and equipped with a durable bike helmet. After receiving instruction on riding and safety, you'll begin your guided cycle tour along the original Bermuda Railway Trail.
During your bike ride, your guide will stop at various points of interest along the mostly flat trail, and provide informative commentary along the way. You'll also enjoy spectacular scenery along the trail, and time permitting you'll have the opportunity to hike up to the historic Fort Scaur and view the sprawling 17th century Mott Family estate. After your ride, cool off with a refreshing swim at a private, calm water beach.
