Explore the beautiful St. George Botanical Gardens set among the ruins of an sugar cane plantation and discover the world of the famous Captain Morgan. Enjoy a drive to the wonderful 16 acre St. George Botanical Gardens. This property was once home to an Indian village, a Danish Sugar Plantation, a cattle ranch until becoming a garden in 1972 – it is listed in the National Registry of Historic Sites. You’ll enjoy a spectacular mix of history and natural beauty with a variety of themed garden areas set among the historic structures of the colonial sugarcane plantation.
Next discover the world of the famous Captain Morgan, see how the world's top selling rum is made and learn about the man behind it. The Captain Morgan Visitors Center will immerse you in a legendary experience that captures the Captain's personality and brings his story, the story of rum and the US Virgin Islands together.
Need to Know:
Note: It is suggested that guests wear comfortable, flat, shoes with a non-slip sole as well as sun cap, sunglasses, sun protection and bring a change of clothes. This tour is not available to wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. It is not recommended for those who suffer from motion sickness. Fishing equipment and bait are provided. Any gratuities for the crew of the fishing boat are not included and tour guests may be required to sign a release form before being allowed to take part in the tour. There is no guarantee that any species of fish will be caught.
