OVERVIEW
Interact with capybaras – highly social, semi-aquatic mammals indigenous to South America – at Ocean World and enjoy the marine park’s other attractions at your leisure. As you will discover firsthand during the capybara encounter, they are cute, cuddly and twice the size of beavers. Chances are, the capybaras will come right up to you. You will notice that their toes are webbed for efficient paddling and that their eyes, noses and hairless ears are on the tops of their heads so they can be aware of their surroundings when mostly submerged. Ocean World offers plenty of other animal encounters. You could see an ever-changing parade of brilliantly colored fish while snorkeling, observe dolphins and sea lions in other areas of the park and come across macaws and toucans while walking through the rainforest. There will also be time for shopping, dining, watching a folkloric dance and swimming in the lagoon and freshwater pool.
